Workers’ pensions are being endangered by both Congress and those charged with overseeing them. The Teamsters and our members are standing united to say “No!” to cuts and “Yes!” to greater retirement security!
This web page provides information on the ongoing effort to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Since 1994, NAFTA has devastated working families, putting corporate profits ahead of people. What’s worse is that NAFTA has become the blueprint for all other trade agreements, from the way that it was negotiated in secret, to the bad provisions that have made their way into every agreement that has been signed since then. Now, NAFTA is being renegotiated and we demand that it be reframed to work for workers instead of corporate interests.
Join Teamsters Joint Council 25 Women’s Committee and the Chicago Period Project for Teamster Women Gives Back -Empowering those in need, at the 2020 First Quarter Membership Meeting on Saturday February 15, 2020 from 10 am until 12:30 pm, at Teamsters Local 743, 4620 South Tripp Ave, Chicago, IL
The Chicago Period Project empowers homeless and in-need people to experience their periods with dignity.
The grassroots organization distributes pads, tampons, underwear, and other critical menstruation supplies to local shelters, schools, and crisis support networks. ⠀
All menstruating people should have reliable access to period supplies. The Chicago Period Project’s goal is for the 29 percent of Chicago residents living below the poverty line to have healthy periods, and for us to raise awareness about this issue. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
HOW CAN YOU HELP:
Along with a spirit of giving we ask that you bring any of the below items as a donation to support ending period poverty.
